Arkansas and Clark County Community Foundation staff to speak to club at Dec. 19 meeting

The Arkadelphia Rotary Club will meet at noon on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Western Sizzlin, 106 WP Malone Drive, for its weekly meeting. Mrs. Ginger Overturf and Senator David Johnson have been invited to serve as guest speakers and will speak regarding the Arkansas and Clark County Community Foundations. Rotarians and guests are invited to attend. For more information on the guest speakers, please read the brief biographies below.

David Johnson is currently serving his second term as an Arkansas State Senator for District 32 which comprises part of Pulaski County. He is a former member of the House of Representatives, having served two terms, in 2005 and 2007, representing House District 38. In addition, Senator Johnson serves as the Vice President for Community Investment of the Arkansas Community Foundation, which makes grants to improve the quality of life in our state and build local communities through philanthropy. He and his wife, Amy, have three daughters.

Ginger Overturf has served for the last six years as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Community Foundation's local affiliate, Clark County Community Foundation. Founded in 2002, Clark County Community Foundation (CCCF) helps donors invest in the future of Clark County. CCCF creates endowment funds, builds assets and awards grants to help meet the needs of the community. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and has lived in Arkadelphia for 20 years with her husband, Mark, and their three children.
