Hughes to serve as Arkadelphia Rotary guest speaker, July 25

The Arkadelphia Rotary Club will meet Friday, July 25, 2014, at Western Sizzlin, 106 WP Malone Drive, for its weekly meeting. Josh and Shelley Hughes, owners of downtown coffee shop JavaPrimo, have been invited to serve as guest speakers. Rotarians and guests are invited to attend. For more information on the guest speakers, please read their brief biography below.

JOSH AND SHELLEY HUGHES are the owners of JavaPrimo Coffee House, Café & More. JavaPrimo currently has one location in downtown Arkadelphia and the original location in Hot Springs. JavaPrimo is a coffee shop, restaurant and gift shop serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and desserts.

Shelley is an Arkadelphia native and graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2004. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants where she serves on the Emerging CPAs Committee. She is also a member of the DeGray Chapter of CPAs. Shelley began her professional career at ALLTEL Communications in the Partnership Accounting Department in 1998. Shelley was Assistant Controller for Euronet Worldwide’s software division from 2001 to 2008. Shelley also served as Finance Director for WP Malone, Inc. and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute.

Josh is a Bismarck High School graduate. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in history. He taught at Fuller Junior High, owned his own cabinet shop and worked for ALLTEL Communications. He was a Senior Training Manager for Nuvell Financial Services (a GMAC subsidiary) from 2002 to 2007. He was Education Director at Mercy Hospitals from 2007 to 2008.

Josh & Shelley are members of Oaklawn Church of God in Hot Springs. They reside in Bismarck with their six month old son, Alex.
