Jansen to serve as Arkadelphia Rotary guest speaker, Dec. 12

The Arkadelphia Rotary Club will meet Friday, December 12, 2014, at Western Sizzlin, 106 WP Malone Drive, for its weekly meeting. Dr. Mark Jansen, who was a member of the club before moving to Little Rock, has been invited to serve as guest speaker and will present  his research titled "Is an Ounce of Prevention Really Worth a Pound of Cure? Concepts and Controversies in Preventive Health." Rotarians and guests are invited to attend. For more information on the guest speaker, please read his brief biography below. 

MARK T. JANSEN, MD, is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Mark T. Jansen joined the faculty at UAMS in 2013. He comes from a long term private practice in the college town of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

He is a 1981 graduate of UAMS and completed his family practice residency at the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Medical College in 1984. Dr. Jansen provides comprehensive preventive health services and wellness care through the Executive Physical and Preventive Health program. He has a special interest in dermatology and dermatological procedures. Additionally, he has extensive experience in colonoscopy and is providing this screening service to his patients in the GI lab at UAMS.
