Volunteers needed at Ecumenical Food Pantry Distribution, July 21

Each month, volunteers from area churches and service organizations volunteer to feed the hungry in our community. The next distribution date for the Ecumenical Food Pantry is July 21, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, so please sign up and help as your schedule allows. The Ecumenical Food Pantry is located at the First United Methodist Church, 107 N 9th Street in Arkadelphia. This is a great opportunity to put those "Service Above Self" shirts to use!

11 a.m. to noon: unload the truck (please bring a dollie)
     -- 4 persons needed to unload
1 - 2:30 p.m.: set up the food for distribution (these people normally stay and distribute the food they set up)
     -- 3 persons for canned goods
     -- 3 persons for boxed goods/rice/beans and other dry goods
     -- 2 persons for meat
     -- 3 persons for milk and cheese
     -- 1 person to copy newsletter and invitations
     -- 1 person to organize volunteer sign-in and coffee station
2:30 - 2:45 p.m.: devotions for the volunteers
3 - 5:30 p.m.: distribute food
     -- 5 to 8 persons to act as food guides
     -- 3 persons for computer entry
     -- 2 to 3 persons to act as greeters
